Apple of my eye (Orchard)

Yazelle, net besig om te leer hoe om met 'n mes en vurk te eet. Of liewer, twee vurke, of haar hande wanneer die vurke nie werk nie! Sy's waarlik haar tannie se oogappel!!

~My niece, just starting to eat with a fork and knife. Or more accurately, two forks, or her hands when the forks won't work! She truly is the apple of her aunt's eye...~

I can't believe it! This LO made Bloom of the Day at Digital Scrap Garden today!! And that just a day after my other LO (On the Move) was picked as LOTD at One Single Seed... How lucky can one girl get?!

Arriving in Paris (Pretty in the City)

Ons het die oggend van 07/04/08 per trein uit Duitsland vertrek, en die lang pad na Parys aangepak. Selfs sneeu langs die pad gesien! Ons het so half 10 die aand in Parys aangekom, en groot pret gehad opsoek na en op die ondergrondse treine! Ons het afgeklim op Blanche stasie, wat uitkyk op die bekende Moulin Rouge! Wat 'n gesig... Ons hotel was ook net so 'n blok of wat vanaf Moulin Rouge.

Ek het hierdie bladsy vir 'n speedscrap by Stuff to Scrap gemaak, met die lieflike Pretty in the City van Christy Skaggs.

~We got on a train in Germany on the morning of 07/04/08, and started the long journey to Paris. We even saw snow along the way! We arrived in Paris at about 21:30, and had a lot of fun searching for and on the underground trains! Then we got off at Blanche station, overlooking the (in)famous Moulin Rouge! What a sight... Our hotel was also just a block or so from Moulin Rouge.

I made this page using the lovely Pretty in the City by Christy Skaggs, in a fun speed scrap hosted at Stuff to Scrap. ~

23/03/2009 Pierre & Yolanda took me to see Painswick today. Although I nearly froze to death (nothing new there), I really enjoyed this quaint town. We saw the church and graveyard, with interesting tree-lined walkways, and were fascinated by the low entrances to the houses. Something that struck me was the beautiful daffodils in all the windowsills. This was a nice look into a few centuries ago!

~Here's my page for 23/03/08.  The journaling says it all.  They took me to Bristol Airport to fly to Rome.

Catalina Mini Kit

Ek het die fantastiese Catalina mini kit van Christy Skaggs gebruik vir die Januarie bladsy van 'n kalender wat ek gemaak het. Is hierdie kit nie pragtig nie?

Big Ben - Wendy Mini Kit

My pa (Tom) met Big Ben in die agtergrond. Hierdie bladsy was vir Veronica se quote challenge by GDS, en ons moes eers 'n foto kies en DAN 'n quote gaan soek! Dit was toe bietjie moeiliker as wat ek gedink het, maar ek dink ek't die perfekte ene gekry!

Ons Madame Tussauds foto's. Ek't so vir my ma-hulle gelag - as ek hulle soek, staan hulle my 'n ander standbeeld, en wil afgeneem word!!

My vriendin Ané het op 'n keer vir my gesê om aan te trek en te kom koffie drink - ons gaan foto's neem! Was dit nou 'n prettige middag... Ek het Christy Skaggs se Always Together gebruik - ek dink dit lyk baie mooi saam met my sepia foto's! Om nie eers te praat van al die lekker swirls en dinge nie...

My friend once told me to just get dressed and come for coffee - we're taking photos!! What a fun afternoon that was..

Castel San't Angelo

Hierdie is 'n paar foto's van Castel San't Angelo in Rome. Dit was oorspronklik bedoel as 'n masoleum en toe's dit 'n fort en al sulke dinge. Hierdie "engele" staan langs die brug wat na die gebou toe gaan.

Ek het weereens Christy Skaggs se Fungo Green gebruik - ek's mal daaroor!

~Here are a few pictures of Castel San't Angelo in Rome. It was originally built as a masoleum and it was a fortress at some stage as well. The angels guard the bridge going to the building.

Innie Bos

Hierdie is my bladsy vir die {International} Digital Scrapbook Day speedscrap wat Jenn by GDS aangebied het. Die foto's is van my kleinboet se troue in Des 07 - ek was strooimeisie!

Ek het Fungo Green van Christy Skaggs gebruik - hierdie kleure was perfek vir die foto's, omdat die troue se kleur ook groen was, en 'n tipe van 'n "bos" gevoel gehad het.

"Innie bos" can be loosely translated from Afrikaans as "In the Forest".

I used Fungo Green, by Christy Skaggs - the colours were perfect for my pictures, because the wedding's colour scheme was green as well, and it had a type of "forest" feel.~

Kan jy glo, ek's op NOG 'n Creative Team!!! ~Can you believe it, I'm on another CT!! I nearly fell off my chair when I got the email.  This time I actually applied for the team ( it was an open CT call) because I'm absolutely CRAZY about Christy Skagg's designs.  Well, all I can say right now is that I will be playing BIG TIME from now on.
